I had been looking for a pair of fishing glasses for some time but was always put off by the high prices charged by other manufacturers such as Smith/Costa etc. I was worried about the lenses for the Westlope as I’d had problems with glare on the inside of the glasses in the past but there was no such problem. They are very well made and have excellent clarity. Would highly recommend these glasses.

I was initially hesitant to buy the Westlope sunglasses, especially being in Canada where I couldn’t try them on first. However, shipping was prompt and matched the estimated delivery time. The glasses arrived safely and in perfect condition. This is my first pair of photochromic lenses (I chose the brown Reveal lens), and I’m really impressed. On hikes, the lenses transition smoothly between shaded forest trails and bright alpine meadows. For fly fishing, these outperform both my Smith and Maui Jim sunglasses. At a high mountain lake, I was able to spot fish below the surface like never before. I’m not sure how the polarization is so much better—but I could clearly see circling trout that my fishing partner couldn’t. I ended up catching 23 cutthroat trout to his 6. The only downside I’ve noticed is a bit more fogging while hiking compared to what I’m used to. That said, I’ve only had these glasses for a short time, but so far, I’m very happy with them and would definitely recommend them.

This is my second pair of Westslopes. The first pair had an issue with the frames, the earpieces out layer was cracked and peeling. I took a picture, sent the pictures to customer service and they sent me a new pair with their sincerest apologies for the issue.
I love my West Slopes - phenomenal lens that adjusts to the conditions seamlessly, the color/pattern of the frames is very cool. I have 3 pairs of Glades plus their ski goggle and love them all. Thank you, Glades, for making a top-of-the-line product at a workingman's price.

I have a different pair for mtn biking -- goggles for skiing -- and got the photochromatic pair here for bopping around town and driving -- they're great. 10/10 -- definitely recommend them.

I take my fishing sunglasses pretty seriously and have tried all the top brands. These hold their weight against the big guys at a great price point with all the features. Plus, they’ll adjust to the light in that tricky low light near dusk, when all the big trout come out to eat!
