As a full time instructor I was constantly guessing what the day would bring as far as sun or clouds and switching lenses based on my best guess. When I received and wore my Adapt 2's out on the hill it was amazing. I no longer have to guess because my lenses change based on whatever the day may bring as far as sunshine or clouds.
Love these goggles - they’re perfect for the high altitude coverage swings we get in CO. Wish the kids goggles weren’t sold out so I could get my little one a pair.
The Glade Adapt 2 goggles were a game changer for me this season! The ability of the lenses to adapt to changing light conditions meant that I always had near perfect visibility whether it was cloudy or sunny. As some of the other reviews mentioned, during low-light days the lenses seemed to loose a bit of detail or clarity but not enough where I was considering throwing on my older low-light goggles. Where these goggles really stand out are on those days when the light conditions are changing or if you are skiing during the morning/late afternoon when the sun is flirting with mountain tops. My friends would either complain or have to constantly be switching out their lenses but that couldn't be me!
My Adapt 2 are just what I need whether it’s a bright sunny ski day or a low visibility one. The fit is comfortable and no fogging at all. Love the large view window.
The Good:
- Great price: very good value for the product you are getting.
- Likely the best anti-fog lens I've ever had. I had to work strenuously to get the lens to even fog up a little bit (hauling a sled uphill on a snowy day).
- Photochromic lenses are a game-changer. Not having to bring + swap lenses is big convenience factor
The Ambivalent-to-Meh:
- Glade Adapt 2s don't feel as premium / feature rich as my Anon M4s (e.g. no foam liner, no magnetic facemask), but of course it's not a fair comparison due to latter's much higher price point
- Field of view feels a bit smaller compared to some of the taller/wider competition.
The Bad:
- Noticeable nose-bridge gap: I don't have a low-bridge nose, but there was quite a sizable gap between the goggles' fit and my nose. Snowflakes flew into my eyes all day long on a snow day. I haven't needed a low-bridge nose fit with other goggles, but maybe I needed to get that low-bridge version of Glade goggles?
Overall verdict: excellent value for the price, but I'm most likely going back to the Anon M4s because I spend a lot of days on the mountains and I'm willing to pay more for the premium features + better fit on my face to avoid the nose-bridge gap. Would recommend to others who don't care about the premium features or have about the same fit issues I did.
