I have worn these while ski instructing in the ever changing spring conditions on Mt. Hood, ranging from rain to snow to sun, and all the weird in-between stages in the span of a single two hour lesson, and WOW, these truly perform. I highly recommend the Adapts for when you need a one goggle solution and can’t or don’t want to carry multiple lenses/goggles. The only time I experienced a slight hiccup was in ultra low, flat light. They were still on point but I do prefer my dedicated low light goggles for that one very specific type of light. I loved the Adapts so much I bought a pair for my friend who gets wild in mountains and he also absolutely loves them. I think anyone who slides on snow should have a pair!
Well I am super happy with my Glade goggles. I have used Oakley, Smiths, Giro and more and have never been able to breath thru my nose skiing with a helmet on. First thing I noticed was the clarity and how clear everything was but it was the breathing thru my nose that I really expressed me. They fit higher up on your face and are very comfortable to wear. Love not changing the lens for different conditions!!
I bought these a couple weeks ago and used them on a day that included sunshine followed by snow. They were great. They fit well and the views were crisp. Look forward to wearing them more next season. If you are on the fence I’d say give them a try.
These are the 3rd Glade googles I have purchased for myself. Yes, I love them. The visual clarity is superb in all lighting conditions. You are probably wondering what am I doing to all these googles or perhaps that I am just fashion-minded and need one in each color (Far from it). As an added bonus, these goggles offer an excellent layer of protection from the harsh mountain environment which includes tree branches. However, they are not immune to being damaged by said tree branches while skiing in tight woods. If only they made them in cubic silicon nitride.
I have only worn these goggles twice since purchase mostly because I bought them late in the ski season. So far I am happy with my purchase. They fit well with my helmet, are comfortable, and have better peripheral vision than my previous goggles. Then clarity of the lenses is awesome, but still checking out how the transition part works in variable light conditions. I do love that I can wear my eye glasses underneath without a problem.
